A Queensland artist has brought Australian golf legend Greg Norman to life on canvas.

Mr Norman has won 88 professional tournaments and spent 331 weeks in the world number 1 Official World Golf Rankings.

Queensland artist Tom Macbeth flew to Florida to paint the famous golfer for the Brisbane Portrait Prize.

Mr Macbeth tells Steve Price he has always been a fan of Mr Norman’s.

“We met at one of the golf courses near his home… it was a pretty quick sitting.

“The portraits took a couple of months to paint.“
