Ben Fordham is calling on the federal government to prioritise the high cost of living in the upcoming budget.

One Big Switch data has revealed some products at Coles and Woolworths have gone up 95 per cent in the past 12 months.

Nescafe instant coffee, has gone up 75 per cent in 12 months and cans of baked beans and spaghetti are up 20 per cent.

While the cost of a 2-litre bottle of Fanta soft drink is up 95 per cent.
