‘That’s exactly what she did’: Gladys Berejiklian accused of lying
NSW Labor leader Jodi McKay has slammed Premier Gladys Berejiklian for lying after it was announced the last remaining public bus services would be privatised.
The lower north shore, northern beaches, and eastern suburbs are the final three regions operated by State Transit but are all slated for sale to private operators.
There are fears of job loses and major service disruptions as a result.
Ms Berejiklian made a promise at an election debate that they would not sell off any assets saying, “if we were we would have told you upfront.”
Ms McKay tells Steve Price the Premier hasn’t stuck to her word.
“I would go as far as to say she lied, I know that’s a strong word to use but that’s exactly what she did.
“She promised no further privatisations.”
