‘Taking too long’: High-profile lawyer weighs in on Berejiklian ICAC investigations
A high-profile lawyer says it’s “unfair” the people of New South Wales won’t find out whether the former Premier was corrupt, before the state election.
The corruption watchdog has been investigating whether Gladys Berejiklian breached public trust, while in a secret relationship with former Wagga Wagga MP Daryl Maguire.
ICAC says a large amount of evidence is contributing to a delay in the results being handed down.
Anthony Whealey KC has told John Stanley, he doesn’t understand why it would take so long.
“It’s not a complex matter.”
