Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has announced Angus Campbell will replace Mark Binskin as Chief of the Defence Force.

This coincides with the PM not ruling out Australian involvement in the Syrian interventions over the weekend.

The US, UK and French support launched 105 missiles on Syrian chemical weapon factories following a suspected chemical weapons attack by the Syrians on their own people earlier this month which killed 75 people.

President Trump has declared the strikes a “mission accomplished”.

To get the latest, Chris Kenny speaks with Australia’s former Ambassador to Israel, David Sharma.

“The strikes were a success in the terms of the limited aims they had.”
