‘Stop playing games’: Treasurer’s message to Labor after stadium demolition given green light

The demolition of Sydney’s Allianz Stadium is set to go ahead after it was approved in the NSW Land and Environment Court.

Work was postponed after court action was lodged by community group Local Democracy Matters and Waverley Council.

NSW Treasurer Dominic Perrottet tells John Stanley he is pleased with the outcome but says Labor has “blocked them every step of the way”.

“We welcome that position and we’ll get on with the job.

“What I’d say to Micheal Daley and the Labor Party is to stop playing games and get out of the way.”

He added Michael Daley should be running for Premier in other states because “he wants NSW to be second rate”.
