St George Illawarra co-captain Damien Cook has praised Olympian and Rugby Sevens convert Nathan Lawson on his strong performance on debut, as the Dragons claimed a 20-6 win over the Newcastle Knights.

“I thought he stood up to the challenge, it was a great debut,” Cook said.
