Sick donkey saved after extraordinary 900km journey

George Sives is a donkey owner who lives in Kingaroy in Queensland.
He’s had his donkey Candy for about 20 years, they’re best friends. Unfortunately, Candy got pretty sick.
Now George is in his 60’s, he has issues with his back, and he couldn’t take care of Candy himself.
Vets in the area also had no luck. Cue Sandy Kokas and the Good Samaritan Donkey Sanctuary.
