NSW Planning Minister Rob Stokes says he’s “enormously confident” as the Liberal party room prepares to vote in the next Premier of NSW.

A deal has been struck with factional bosses to insert Mr Perrottet as Premier, with Stuart Ayers as his Deputy and Matt Kean as Treasurer.

But Mr Stokes insists he will still run in order to give the party room “a choice”.

He told Ben Fordham he will remain in the party if he doesn’t secure the premiership.

“I gave my community my word I would represent them for four years and I’m going to do that.”
