Remarkable moment student pilot performs emergency landing on his first lesson
A student pilot has made an emergency landing on his first lesson after his instructor fell unconscious.
Trainee Max Sylvester took off in a light aircraft from Jandakot airport in Western Australia when his instructor passed out.
Max, with the help of an air traffic controller, landed the plane with the instructor slumped over his shoulder.
But Ben Fordham commends him for maintaining a sense of humour when radioing traffic control.

Former airline pilot Byron Bailey says he’s very impressed by the landing.
“This guy is one cool guy. This guy is fearless.
“Magic. And the landing was a very good one!”
