A Sydneysider is pleading with people to get vaccinated after experiencing the effects of COVID firsthand.

Ralph had called into Ben Fordham Live while on oxygen at Blacktown Hospital after being diagnosed with COVID.

Now recovered, he told Ben Fordham he has a lung condition and contracted the virus five days after receiving his first COVID vaccination.

“If I had passed on with this I would have been [classified] of having underlying symptoms.

“But I don’t classify myself as a sick person.

“I think that my vaccination actually helped me because without it I probably wouldn’t have made it through.”
