Ray Hadley looks to US judge amid inadequate pedo sentence
Ray Hadley has shared the victim impact statement from the father of a murdered US school girl in light of the “inadequate” sentencing of a NSW paedophile.
Neil Duncan has been jailed for at least two and a half years after a jury found him guilty of eight child sex offences involving three girls in 2019.
Ray yesterday suggested the victims have been “totally under-represented in this judgement” and hoped Duncan’s service will be “as difficult and uncomfortable as it can be”.
His comments prompted a listener to share footage of a victim impact statement given by Ilan Alhadeff, whose daughter was killed in the Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in 2018.
“The look on Her Honour’s face when she hears from the father of this murdered school child is just incredible,” Ray said this morning. “She’s almost reduced to tears as he pleads with her.
“I just got those emails and other emails about Robyn Tupman about the sentencing of two and a half years.”
