Weather monitoring stations for rural NSW

There are calls to improve weather monitoring systems in regional and rural areas, to improve productivity and prevent losses on the farm.

Unpredictable weather patterns in the past week have again highlighted the inability of some farmers to properly monitor the weather and prepare for those conditions.

Rural reporter Roshai Murdoch spoke with the Country Women’s Association New South Wales President Annette Turner about the issue.

Ms. Turner says there’s a desperate need to fill the void between existing stations.
