The nuclear power debate may have gotten a boost

Robert Parker, vice president of the Australian Nuclear Association, joins Michael to talk about an interesting development in the push for nuclear power yesterday with Prime Minister Scott Morrison announcing Queensland MP Keith Pitt’s promotion to the position of Minister for Resources, Water and Northern Australia following the resignation of Matt Canavan.

 

Mr Pitt, who previously resigned in opposition to the government’s commitment to reducing emissions under the Paris accord, in recent years has been a very outspoken advocate for nuclear power.
