Tales from the Bonegilla Migrant Centre

The Bonegilla Migrant and Training Centre near Albury-Wodonga was the first major experience for many who fled war-torn Europe after World War 2.

75 years on from when it opened the Wodonga City Council is bringing to life the stories of over 300,000 people who called Bonegilla home.

One person who was born in the Centre was Krystyna Mills, whose parents fled from war-torn Poland.

Krystyna joins John to share what it was like to grow up there, and how much it means to tell stories like hers.
