Surf and stream in the new Audi Q2
I recently tested Audi’s new Q2 premium compact SUV – the Q2 joining Audi’s family of Q signature SUV’s the Q3, Q5 and Q7. Similar in size to the Q3 and starting just $1,800 more affordable the Audi Q2 is a more edgy design, more funky if you like and very appealing. I tested the 2.0-litre TDi Quattro 7-speed S tronic sport listed at $47,900 but with options including special Vegas yellow paint quickly growing to $58,190. To match the colour the interior featured sports front seats in grey leather with yellow stitching – all very appealing. A really pleasant driver too with the 2.0-litre turbo-diesel’s torque band just where you want for around town motoring. Given its younger market appeal the Audi Q2 places a lot of value on technology allowing you to surf and stream your mobile devices. The Vegas yellow paint on the test car drew eyes wherever I drove it – a premium small SUV the Audi Q2 is a very appealing newcomer. I’m David Berthon
