Sowing wheat early can boost yields
Sowing wheat earlier in the season, could see the national yield increase by up to 20 percent.
La Trobe University and the CSIRO have been studying the alternatives of sowing Spring wheats in May.
They’ve found planting from March increases the opportunity of success, with the crop drawing on stored soil water from Summer rain.
