Shane Fitzsimmons: A Fire Inside

The former NSW RFS Commissioner and current Resilience Commissioner Shane Fitzsimmons was the voice and face of reason for the state during the summer bushfires of 2019-2020.

Unflinching and always strong Shane defined what resilience was during those tough times. As a part of the new film and book titled ‘A Fire Inside’ Shane recounts the incredible work done by the RFS volunteers to protect their communities, but also the mental ramifications people went through and still do.

He joins Luke Grant to share how important it is to be disaster prepared, and helps unpack the spirit of help.

The feature length documentary ‘A Fire Inside’ airs on Monday December 13th on Channel Nine at 9:30pm, thanks to NRMA Insurance.
