No relief for Seniors

John Stanley

Ian Henschke, the Chief Advocate, National Seniors Australia, talks to John Stanley about his disappointment in relief that the budget has not offered seniors.

There has been no mention of relief for pensioners that wanted to work more and still earn their pension.

There is a huge worker shortage, and there are seniors that are ready and willing to work, but the coalition has not provided any incentives in the 2022 federal budget.

A one-off $250 payment which will go to welfare recipients, veterans and concession cardholders throughout April was announced, Ian saying it looks like seniors will not benefit long-term.
