Murray Darling Basin water storage drops below 50 percent

The total amount of water stored in dams throughout the Murray Darling Basin is now below 50 percent.

It’s the first time they’ve been this low at the start of November since 2015, which saw levels drop to 25 percent by February of 2016.

Water storage levels this time last year were at 71 percent.

To find out what it all means for Basin communities, rural reporter Eddie Summerfield caught up with MDBA Head of River Operations Andrew Reynolds.
