Pork producing families are continuing to consider their future in the industry, as prices linger below the cost of production.

Increases in sow heard sizes and upgrades in farming infrastructure have been part of a perfect storm that’s seen a productivity boom lead to an oversupply of pigs in the market.

Rural reporter Eddie Summerfield caught up with Victorian Farmers Federation Pigs Group President Tim Kingma.
