The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs have had a hard start to the season with six straight losses after a round one win.

The team’s form has forced general manager Phil Gould to step in delivering some stern truths and pushing for an honesty session amongst the players only.

The sessions looked to have put a spring in the side, the Bulldogs taking a gutsy 16-12 win over the Roosters.

Bulldogs halfback Matt Burton joined The Continuous Call Team saying Phil Gould’s guidance has helped the club immensely.

“(It was) good for him to come in and give us a little word,

“He’s great to have around the club… he’s got so much knowledge,” says Burton.
