Low prices loom as sugarcane harvest starts

Global sugar prices are languishing at low levels, as growers get their sugarcane harvest underway.

Despite flooding damaging crops in northern Queensland in March, this year is forecast total yields is being described as average at around 32 and a half million tonnes.
