Holden Equinox is good value and highly equipped
After closing its local manufacturing Holden moves into 2018 as a full line importer. First product to arrive is the mid-sized Equinox five–seat SUV to be followed in late February by the front-wheel- drive European sourced ZB Commodore. The Equinox hails from Mexico – I can hear you saying but what about the quality. Let me tell you that after two days with the new Equinox this week I came away impressed by the whole package – best value and highly equipped in the higher grades with the 2.0-litre turbo engine and nine speed automatic but overall a very impressive effort from Holden. And to be honest, it had to be because there’s some excellent competition in mid-sized SUV’s. Equinox is good looking, a well-packaged five-seater with impressive rear seat legroom with a stack of safety and comfort elements and well-priced from $27,990 . Five front-drive and three all-wheel- drive models, the entry LS model a little underdone in terms of cabin finishes. I’m David Berthon
