High wool prices here to stay
High wool prices are forecast to stay, as the nation’s markets enter the three-week winter recess.
The Eastern Market Indicator broke through the $20 per kilogram mark for the first time earlier this year.
We’re being told it’s not going to slow down.
The nation’s top commodities forecaster, ABARES, expects wool exports to rise by 9 percent over the next 12 months to $4.7 billion.
