Hay supplies starting to run low

Rural News

Prices for hay are surging, as supplies start to run scarce with drought continuing, and worsening across parts of New South Wales.

Charity Rural Aid’s Buy a Bale campaign is down to its last 1,500, and is continuing to source more, but a lot of hay farmers have pre-sold their stock for the next six months.

Donations can continue to be made through the buy a bale website.

Rural reporter Eddie Summerfield caught up with Rural Aid Chief Executive Charles Alder.
