Farmers give the federal budget a “B”

The federal budget has been given a B, by the nation’s peak farming body.

There’s big investment for trade, rural health, and biosecurity initiatives.

But it’s failed to provide additional support for those battling drought, and lacked significant funding to improve telecommunications.

Rural reporter Eddie Summerfield caught up with National Farmers Federation Chief Executive Tony Mahar.
