Farm Debt Mediation

A senate inquiry has recommended banks establish a national compulsory farm debt mediation scheme to give farmers more power and rights.
27 recommendations were put forward.
Under the proposal banks would foreclose on farms as a last resort only.
Rural Reporter Matthew Karstunen spoke to Senator John Williams about the proposal.
