Documenting the empty streets of Melbourne

Lockdown over the last couple of years has been tough on many of us across Australia.
Not being able to go outside, see friends and family. Local towns and major cities all shutdown.

Landscape photographer, Gavin John, a long term resident of Melbourne has used his skills to document downtown Melbourne in a way the world has never seen before.

Gavin’s new book, Abandoned Melbourne: Lockdown depicts the emptiness of Melbourne during the 2020 lockdown.

Luke speaks to Gavin about the message he is trying to send through his book and what lays ahead.
