Critical year for Holden

A chance this week to drive Holden’s new fully-imported front drive and all-wheel drive ZB Commodore on a variety of roads and at the company’s proving ground however drive impressions are embargoed until February 15. Despite the new ZB model Holden’s MD Mark Bernard indicated this week he expects Commodore sales to actually fall – as he said “There’s no easy days or months in this business and we will have to fight for every sale – that’s what where planning to do.” It’s a critical year for the Holden brand Bernard quick to point out that Holden no longer wants to be known as just the Commodore Car Company – “our growth in 2018 will come from a sales split of 30 per cent light commercials, 35 per cent passenger cars and 35 percent SUV’s.” he also is confident sales will continue to strengthen on the Astra, Colorado and new Equinox SUV. Holden also getting the large US-built 7-seat Arcadia SUV later this year. I’m David Berthon
