Concerns for Murray River water quality

Irrigators downstream of the Barmah Choke on the Murray River are pushing for an independent study to examine water quality issues.

The Barmah-Millewa forest at that section of river was formed because of regular flooding.

But local residents claim the extent of recent flooding is seeing water being negatively impacted because of riverbank erosion and over watering.
