One of the most iconic musicals of all time will finally premiere at the Sydney Opera House after devastating COVID delays.

Last year, The Phantom of the Opera broke the record for most tickets sold on the first day of release for a performance at the Opera House.

Josh Piterman, playing the ‘Phantom’, had joined Deborah Knight ahead of his scheduled debut at the time – but never made it to the stage.

Now he’s back and getting ready to finally take his place behind the mask.

“With all the ups and downs it’s just about really treasuring the moment,” he told Deborah.
