The royal wedding is only one day away and gifts are flowing in from all corners of the globe.

New South Wales didn’t want to be left out, so what are we sending Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for their special day?

Premier Gladys Berejiklian says our gift is symbolic and has an Australian flair.

“We’re naming two of our little baby koalas at Taronga Zoo after Meghan and Harry,” she tells Ben Fordham.

“I went and checked them out earlier today and they’re still in their mothers’ pouches.”

The genders of the two koalas won’t be known for another two months but the Premier says, regardless, those will be the names they’re given.

The NSW Government will also be donating $5,000 to preserving koalas in the royal couple’s honour.

One person who knows the groom very well is Angela Levin, author of Harry: Conversations With the Prince.
