One Nation won’t back proposed company tax cuts

Article image for One Nation won’t back proposed company tax cuts

The government is pushing for extensions to company tax cuts but the Senate is making it difficult.

One Nation leader Pauline Hanson tells Ross Greenwood her party won’t be backing more changes to company tax cuts.

“I’m talking to businesses all the time.

“I see the struggling every day..and I’m thinking what are we doing for them?

“I don’t think giving these big companies tax cuts is the answer.

“I’m not going to see mums and dads out there suffer because we’re handing it… to the big end of town.”

Ms Hanson says red tape and rising prices are hurting businesses and should be addressed before tax cuts are considered.

“They don’t know where they stand with escalating electricity prices. Giving them company taxes is not the answer, it’s all these other things.”
