NSW Premier grilled over pay rise for exhausted nurses

Ben Fordham

NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet says he’s open to negotiating with the nurses’ union amid calls for a review of the pay deal.

Nurses are demanding better staff to patient ratios and a pay rise as they prepare to walk off the job tomorrow.

“They want more than talk,” Ben told Mr Perrottet.

The Premier says he and the Health Minister will do “whatever we can”.

“I want to provide as much support as I can to health workers across our state.”
