NSW Premier and Opposition leader call for John Sidoti to resign following corruption verdict
The NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet and the Opposition Leader Chris Minns have both called on NSW MP John Sidoti to resign from Parliament following today’s ICAC verdict that he engaged in serious corrupt conduct.
The Premier has released a statement saying, “I’ve contacted Mr Sedoti to inform him that I believe he should resign from the parliament.
“Should Mr Sedoti not resign, the NSW Government will move a motion to have him suspended.”
Opposition leader Chris Minns joined Jim Wilson on Drive, backing the Premier’s call.
“The findings from the ICAC are serious … it’s hard to see how Mr Sedoti could be an effective voice in the NSW Parliament,” he said.
Mr Minns also talked about the explosive evidence from today’s John Barilaro trade job inquiry as well as the controversial “just terms” land acquisition clause.
