NSW MP calls for removal of shark nets despite Central Coast attack

Shark nets are being redeployed on the Central Coast after a 14-year-old surfer was bitten by a shark yesterday.

The attack comes amid heated debate over shark nets being put in place for the summer.

Terrigal MP Adam Crouch is one of those pushing for them to be removed.

He told Ben Fordham the Central Coast should “lead the way” in embracing new technology, including smart drumlines, and rolling back the nets.
