NSW government to continue funding JobSaver after federal support ends

During the transition between 70 and 80 per cent vaccination, businesses can continue to receive a cash flow boost under the JobSaver scheme.

Businesses with an annual turnover of between $75,000 and $250 million, which have experienced a revenue decline of 30 per cent or more, can receive payments of 40 per cent of their payroll cost to keep employees on.

NSW Treasurer Dominic Perrottet announced the state government will maintain its contributions to the partially federally-funded program until November 30.

“It will allow many businesses the support they need as we move from response to recovery.”

Payments will taper off as restrictions ease:

The extension of the program is expected to cost $500 million.

Federal COVID disaster payments end when the state hits its goal of 80 per cent fully-vaccinated.
