Minister Paul Toole has defended the list of festivals deemed ‘high risk’ under new regulations.

The new licensing scheme was announced after five drug-related deaths at events over the summer.

The list included 14 out of almost 100 festivals which have been deemed “high risk”.

Minister Paul Toole tells Ben Fordham the list “is not definitive.”

“If those festivals do the right thing… they can be removed from the list,” he says.

“There may be others that could be included onto that list in the future.”
