New parental leave push for parents of babies requiring neonatal care

Australia’s parental leave system is under scrutiny again, with a renewed push for more support for families with premature or sick babies.
While the current paid parental leave extends up to 20 weeks, the proposed changes advocate for an additional 14 weeks for families with very premature infants.
