Lauded crown prosecutor Margaret Cunneen is the subject of ‘The Boxing Butterfly’, which details her legacy and highly publicised clash with ICAC.

The taekwondo black belt joined Ben Fordham to talk about her career dealing with some of Australia’s worst criminals.

“It’s so fascinating, every single day is so interesting. There can be moments of great levity in court… but for most people it’s the worst time of their lives.

“The stories you hear and the knowledge you have about human behaviour is just extraordinary,” she said.

Ms Cunneen was the subject of a 2014 ICAC investigation, accused of perverting the course of justice.

Ben Fordham asked, “When you were in ICAC, were you ever tempted to pull out a few taekwondo moves?”

“I must say I saw a few faces in the bags I was punching during that time,” Cunneen said.
