Three pedestrians have been injured after they were hit by a car in central Brisbane.

The car mounted the kerb near the Treasury Casino, at the entrance to the Queen Street Mall.

Police blocked off George St, Elizabeth St and parts of Adelaide St just after 3pm on Wednesday as emergency services responded to the incident.

A Queensland Police spokeswoman has confirmed the driver suffered a medical episode which is believed to have caused the crash.

Vivien von Drehnen from 7 News tells Ben Fordham four people including the driver have been taken to hospital, but no one was seriously injured.

“Just a few aches and pains and a few minor facial injuries.”
