Australian music royalty Jimmy and Jane Barnes have published a very special new book.

Where the River Bends is more than just a cookbook, it’s also an intimate invitation into the Barnes’ home complete with family photographs.

“[Photographer Alan Benson] really captured the spirit of our family and what food means to us,” Jane told Deborah Knight.

“We’re not chefs or anything, but we love good food and food is really what connects this family.”

Each recipe is one that has been shared with loved ones through celebration and grieving alike, Jimmy explained.

“These are the recipes that have got us through life.”
