Shots have been fired in Bankstown CBD and a manhunt is underway for the shooter who remains at large.

The shooting took place at Happy Cup Cafe, with witnesses saying they heard multiple gunshots.

A man, believed to be in his 60s, died on the scene with gunshot wounds despite efforts from paramedics.

“Police are still looking for that offender on the run.

“They’ve cordoned off a large area, there are plenty of onlookers.

“There is also a very large police presence.”
