A review of Sydney’s controversial cycleways could be on the cards.

Independent Lord Mayoral candidate Yvonne Weldon told Ben Fordham, if elected, a safety review will be her priority.

“A real safety audit – I don’t believe it’s been done at all.”

One of the bike paths under review would include Bridge Road cycleway in Glebe, despite an independent safety assessment identifying 26 risk areas.

Resident Di Anstey is leading a campaign to have the Bridge Road cycleway removed and told Ben Fordham urgent action is needed.

“It is a waste of space.”
