Large-scale search to find missing man from North Narrabeen

Trent Nikolic

Police have commenced a large-scale search as part of an ongoing investigation into a man missing from North Narrabeen.

Wagner Fernandes, aged 66, was last seen about 5.30pm last night on Elanora Road, Elanora Heights, but has not been seen since.

Family members contacted officers from Northern Beaches Police Area Command, who have commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police and family hold serious concerns for Wagner’s welfare due to multiple health conditions and he is visiting Australia from Brazil and does not know the area.

A multi-agency search has commenced near Elenora Road today (Thursday 4 August 2022), utilising assistance from Police Rescue, PolAir, and NSW SES volunteers.

Mr Fernandes is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 170cm tall, of thin build, and with short grey hair. He was possibly wearing a dark blue zip jacket, dark coloured tracksuit pants and blue sneakers.

Anyone who may have seen Wagner or with information regarding Wagner’s whereabouts is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
