Labor vows to step in for owners of Mascot Towers apartments
Labor has vowed to provide financial support to the owners of a condemned Sydney unit block if elected on March 25.
Mascot Towers unit owners have been pushing for a buyback scheme after they were cleared out in 2019 due to structural integrity issues.
Courtney Houssos, the Shadow Minister for Better Regulation and Innovation, has exclusively told Ray Hadley Labor would intervene if the party comes to power.
In response, the Coalition government has announced they will also extend the accommodation package beyond June 30 but haven’t given more details on any other measures they’ll take.
