Ben Fordham has blasted the federal government’s move to scrap the cashless welfare card.

The card prevented up to 80 per cent of welfare money from being used on alcohol and gambling.

The legislation to scrap the card has passed the Lower House and now goes to the Senate.

“For the kids in the most desperate situations, it’s going to be terrible,” Ben said.
