The Retired Major General says Trump’s call is risky but could work.

The incoming Liberal Senator agrees US President Trump’s foreign policy shift could improve the chances of achieving peace.

He joins Ben Fordham to discuss what he makes of Trump’s call.

“Well this is a very, very risky call and I don’t think that I’m taking a different move from the Foreign Minister.

“But with risk there is the chance of big problems but also hopefully you have to say that Netanyahu and President Trump are talking this up from a peace point of view.

“I can’t exactly see the way that it can lead to peace, but we ain’t going nowhere fast now.”
