‘It’s crazy’ – Indigenous community leader calls on Government to stop interfering in land projects
An Indigenous community leader has called on the state and federal governments to listen to Indigenous groups more often after the New South Wales government intervened on the McPhillamy’s Gold Mine project.
Roy Ah-See says Indigenous communities are receiving vacant crowd land through legislation but are then being told how to develop their land.
He’s also called for the government to move to economic empowerment for Indigenous Australians and move away from welfare.
